Honeyblood
Honeyblood’s third album sees Stina Tweeddale finding her most ambitious form and steely focus yet. Three albums in she has stepped forward to finally claim the mantle of the project she birthed seven years ago as a her sole vision. Stina takes the reigns in collaboration with none-other than super-producer John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St Vincent) for the most definitive Honeyblood LP to date, consolidating the Glasgow-born band as one of the most important UK names.

On lead single, ‘The Third Degree’ (out today) Stina’s arguably perfected the fine art of the punk-rock ode-to-the-shit-head-ex. But ‘In Plain Sight’ is as sonically gung-ho as peak era Garbage, or the modern day likes of St Vincent; big, bold, songwriting no longer content to be tied to one limited genre. Woven with mysterious themes of illusion and deception, Tweeddale describes the album as “one big trick”. Being hoodwinked never felt so exciting.

Following work with fellow Scots Young Fathers, Edinburgh-based director Rianne White collaborated with Stina to bring the vision of ‘The Third Degree’ to life - the brilliant video charts an encounter with the shit-head-ex in Stina’s native Glasgow and is peppered with vignettes inspired by the album’s theme of optical illusions.

Previously signed to FatCat, the re-haul of Honeyblood has also seen Stina enter a brand new relationship with Marathon Artists (home to Courtney Barnett, POND and Jagwar Ma), a natural fit and the right home for this evolution. On 'In Plain Sight', Honeyblood has faced fears and abandoned status quo. The piano anti-ballad 'Harmless' is an intentional end. It's about owning up to your own faults and hiding behind a tough exterior to mask your vulnerabilities. In Honeyblood, Stina has boldly tackled the next chapter of her journey alone, and in the shifting sands she's found new textures and possibilities. “I was petrified before going to record the album because what if I'd made a terrible record?” she asks. “I know I've done myself justice. I've made something I'm really happy with and I'm just itching to get going now. From now on this is how it's gonna be.”

Support from
FEET
Formed on the 30th of January 2016, FEET was really a distraction for its members from their endless bowls of pasta and lonely nights due to their poor game. The band then quickly projected from a boozy side project, to a realistic excuse to discuss dropping out of uni. With a European tour under the belt, seeing the likes of Luxembourg in all its glory, as well as a stop over to France. FEET are now back in the great Ol White, Red and Blue, looking to spread the love and Party or Die with Briton's finest youths. With a small tour in some big cities, FEET are looking to get the ball rolling and make it out of Coventry’s Uni campus.
