Over the past 11 years Juicebox Live has grown to become a leading name in the grass-roots live music industry with a deserved reputation for supporting new music and worked with acts that have gone on to sell out arenas and perform on main stages at major UK and European festivals. We promote around 200 gigs per year and we programme two venues The Horn (St Albans) and The Half Moon (Bishop’s Stortord), as well as booking shows across the South East, East Midlands and East Anglia. We also program Wilkestock Festival and work closely with Independent Venue Week and Music Venue Trust.

We are constantly expanding, and this role is all about driving the company forward. We are looking for a creative and motivated individual with a demonstrable passion for music. You will be forward-thinking and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

PROMOTER - INTERN (BISHOPS sTORTFORD)

The role

This is an entry level position for someone wanting to book and promote live music shows at a grass-roots level. You will work alongside our head promoter and receive training of how to book acts for shows, how to discover new talent and how to promote the show using social media, press, street teams as well as freedom to use your own initiative to make the show a success.

 

Accountabilities

You will work alongside the Head Promoter and other members of the Juicebox Live team to ensure that all events are booked and promoted to their maximum. Full event advancing is sent to all relevant parties and keep venue manager, event team and line manager updated with any developments.

 

Responsibilities

• Spend 1-day training per week at venue office

• Work at least 1 show per week night manager/box office

• Source active bands from local region

• Speak to suited local bands about performing on shows and confirm bands that date/venue are mutually agreed

• Create Ticket links for shows booked

• Create Facebook Event and ensure that event is listed on venue website and other listings sites

• Attend events and ensure that the highest level of customer experience is achieved

• Active use of social media, reflecting all facets of the venue, working to targets in terms of posts and interaction
• Create promotions and marketing plans where needed and ensure they are implemented in good time

• Work to targets for events and track overall sales

• Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to at all times in marketing collateral
• This is not an exhaustive list and you will be expected to perform any reasonable tasks outlined by your line manager and venue management team.

BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT

The role

Assist guests at live events by performing duties, such as collecting pre-purchased admission tickets and passes from guests, selling tickets for walk-up guests, collating entry figures, providing assistance to guest needs and requirements. 

 

Accountabilities

You will work alongside the Event Manager and other members of the Juicebox Live team to ensure that all event guests have the best experience possible while attending the event. Ensuring that event entry data and cash sales are accurate. 

 

Responsibilities

· Sell and collect admission tickets and passes from patrons at events.

· Greet guests attending events.

· Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity. 

· Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.

· Provide assistance with guests' special needs, such as helping those with wheelchairs.

· Direct guest to restrooms, merchandise stands and bars.

· Refuse admittance to undesirable persons or persons without tickets or passes.

• Have a basic level of information relating to the artists performing on the event

• Provide event guests with forthcoming event flyers at the end of events.

EVENT MANAGER

The role

This is an entry level position for someone wanting to event manage live music shows at a grass-roots level. You will work alongside our promotion team and receive training of how to manage an event to ensure that all guests, artists and other members of the team have the best experience possible.

 

Accountabilities

You will work alongside the promotion team and other members of the Juicebox Live team to ensure that all events run to scheduled times, provide relevant information to artists (and their crew), guests and venue representatives. Collate all event paperwork and ensure that all payments staff, artists and hospitality riders are correct. You will also regularly liaise with the venue management throughout events. 

 

Responsibilities

• Ensure event advancing information is active and relevant information is provided for the event including timings and equipment details.

• Arrive at venue and make sure accessible for artists to load in and collect event paperwork from promotion office

• Meet and Greet all bands at load and collect details relating to guest lists and tickets from acts, and provide event timings

• Collate advance ticket sales from relevant sales sources and inform box office, venue management and security volume of sales.

• Provide artist crew with relevant levels of accreditation and other venue specific regulations

• Announce via venue public address system when event doors are open and artists performing

• Be available at all times to assist artists (and their crew), box office team, security, event management or event guests with any queries related to the venue or event

• Ensure that our events are a safe environment for all to attend
• Provide regular updates with promotion managers on events

• Collect all cash sales and ticketing data from Box Office team and complete event paperwork, ensuring that all payment and financial data is correct.

• Ensure artist and crew have loaded out and venue and hospitality areas are found in an acceptable state. Confirm acceptable with venue management prior to leaving venue.
