The Wholls

The Wholls

The Wholls have created a fresh brand of music of their very own coined "Urban Indie". If you get down to see these guys you can expect a lively, hectic night and a set of original bangers with some surprises chucked in! Live favourites 'Rollin' & 'B-Man' are already becoming a cult smash!

The Wholls have gone from strength to strength throughout this year and at a recent gig at Esquires, the size of their loyal following had swelled to such an extent that over 150 ‘Spartans’ as their fans have become collectively known, were unable to get in.
It was one of the bands ambitions in their first year gigging, to headline the legendary Esquires venue which they sold out at the beginning of November. Arturo said ‘it is somewhere that holds a unique place in the hearts of every indie and rock fan in the region, I have seen many bands there over the years and wanted to make sure, when we were ready, that The Wholls would be on the stage and smash it! We are all proud of Bedford, it has a great atmosphere and such a good mix of music and musicians coming through. We want to make everyone of our fans and the music fans of this town totally proud. It was a very special gig for us.”

The Wholls, have already gained support slots with bands such as LA rockers Rival Sons and with planned shows supporting Missing Andy, Mark Morriss (The Bluetones), and creating a buzz locally with 2011 culminating with a win at The Horn (St Albans) Battle Of The Bands competition which has previously featured acts such as Friendly Fires, Enter Shikari, The Subways, Mohair and The Expensice Habits, and another Sold Out show on New Years Eve!

The gig was the culmination of a year that has seen the band of 4 local Bedford lads plucked from the obscurity of rehearsing in a garden shed to going full time and planning for a future UK tour in 2012...

As the new year turns the Bedford locals will be venturing to London to record their debut EP at Konk Studios, owned by Ray Davies of the Kinks, which they then will be promoting by commencing a wide ranging tour about the UK next year, all the time being documented by Limelight TV who have a unique 100% access to capture the band in this development stage. The Wholls have also been filmed live by UKonSmash.
